Industrial Packaging Group SA and Treffpack Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH
jointly establish
PACKAGING ALLIANCE EUROPE SA
The shareholders of Treffpack Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH and Industrial Packaging Group SA have signed an agreement to merge their respective shareholdings into a new holding company called PACKAGING ALLIANCE EUROPE SA.
Over the past 5 years, GAASCH PACKAGING and TREFFPACK have expanded their co-operation step by step. A jointly developed growth strategy and several joint investments form the basis for the next step: a merger in equal shares in a new holding company called PACKAGING ALLIANCE EUROPE SA. All operating companies will remain active under their respective names, but will benefit from the expertise and opportunities of an international alliance in future.
"Dorothée Kuhnert and I firmly believe in the strength and sustainability of family businesses. We represent the 5th and 6th generation at TREFFPACK and are very pleased about the partnership with IPG and the Gaasch and Henckes families in PACKAGING ALLIANCE EUROPE," says Peter Börner from Treffpack Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. "Together we are an important European supplier of primary packaging. We will continue to actively shape our markets in the future and continue to grow together with our customers and partners on the manufacturing side."
Jean-Christophe Gaasch, Managing Director of GAASCH PACKAGING, adds: "This merger significantly strengthens our joint position in Western Europe. After more than 5 years of close co-operation with TREFFPACK, Véronique Henckes, Sébastien Hottlet and I are convinced that we share the same values of trust, reliability and long-term thinking. Our family shareholders and all employees are 100% behind PACKAGING ALLIANCE EUROPE as the sustainable continuation of our more than 100 years of history."
PACKAGING ALLIANCE EUROPE currently brings together companies in Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, the Nordic countries, the Netherlands and France:
TREFFPACK, GAASCH PACKAGING, PATTESONS GLASS, NOVA-PACK, URSAN VERPAKKINGEN, DIJKSTRA VEREENIGDE, PREMIUM GLASS, EPG SERVICE.
Together they offer complete primary packaging and the associated services. The product range includes containers, closures and applicators for the food & beverage industry, for cosmetic and personal care products, for the cleaning & care industry and for pharmaceutical and OTC products. In total, the value of all products sold by the Alliance companies in 2021 was more than 200 million euros.
The merger is expected to be finalised this year.
