TREFFPACK is the umbrella brand of two long-standing family businesses in the primary packaging industry, C.E. Gätcke's Glas Gesellschaft and F. Dau & Sohn from Hamburg, Germany. Since 1873, we have been successfully delivering primary packaging solutions to our customers. As a one-stop shop, we provide comprehensive support for all aspects around their packaging needs.

Peter Börner enters the company.

New Office: TREFFpunkt VerPackung
After more than 60 years in Hamburg’s city center, F. Dau & Sohn and C.E. Gätcke's Glas Gesellschaft move into a new office space on Bredowstraße. This also marks the birth of TREFFpunkt VerPACKung, which from now on serves as the overarching brand name.

5th Generation: Harold Lienau
Harold Lienau joins C.E. Gätcke's Glas Gesellschaft and F. Dau & Sohn.

Construction of new warehouses in Hamburg-Moorfleet
After the devastating storm surge of 1976, which completely flooded the warehouse of C.E. Gätcke’s Glas in Hamburg's Peute district, a significantly larger plot of land was acquired in Bredowstraße, Hamburg-Moorfleet, where new storage halls were built.

A new beginning
After Weert Börner of the third generation was killed in the war, Detlef Lienau initially took over, followed shortly by Edzard Börner. Together, they focused on primary packaging as equal partners.

Entry into the packaging market
Under the leadership of Wilhelm Dau, the company, together with Siemens-Glashütte from Dresden, acquired the corporate shell of C.E. Gätcke’s Glas Gesellschaft from Altona. This granted them the right to jointly distribute glass packaging.

Founding of Dau & Sohn
The origins of the present-day company as an export representative for tableware made of German glass, porcelain, and enamelware manufacturers in Northern Germany and the Baltic region.
